Hope Enterprises of America, Inc. operates all of our programs based on the philosophy of normalization. Each individual, regardless of disability, has the same fundamental rights as all other people, plus the right to receive appropriate treatment and habilitation.

Services are provided in a manner as culturally normal as possible, acknowledging each individual's capacity for learning, growth and development. All clients are viewed as adults and respected as such. The activities and environment reflect that of an adult. All clients are encouraged to be independent, express themselves and make choices.

In our community residence, the residence plant is organized around resident responsibility and fosters resident responsibility in all aspects of day to day life. The rights of the resident and the fact that the residence is his/her home, are always first and foremost.

Our ResHab and NRSS programs are organized around participant responsibility in the continued development of those skills needed to achieve the goals which each participant has set for themselves, with the assistance of their Support Coordinator. Services foster participant responsibility for their continued growth on a day to day basis. The needs and rights of the participant are always kept foremost in mind.
