As defined by the State of Florida, Title XXIX, Chapter 393, 393.063 (27), "Residential habilitation" means supervision and training with the acquisition, retention, or improvement in skills related to activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene skills, homemaking skills, and the social and adaptive skills necessary to enable the individual to reside in the community.
We think it is much, much more. It is all those basic fundamentals plus, all those things that we all want - family, friends, good times, good memories, personal growth, safety and security. A smile or a kind word when we're down. A pat on the back when we tried our hardest. It is living life.
